Too Old

Maybe I'm just having an "off" day, but I think I've come to the realization that even at 21, I'm too old to go back to school. I've missed the boat, whatever I might have been -probably won't ever happen. So.. I should just get comfortable in my dead end job, stop dreaming of something better because every teacher, every counselor that ever spoke to me were right: I will end up no where. No matter what.

-sigh-

Take it from someone who's been that route...you're NOT too old to go back to school. If you're stuck in a dead-end career you don't like, find something better. I was in my late 20s when I realized I didn't like what I could do for a job with the degree I already had, so I went back and did something totally unrelated. Maybe you just need a change of pace... do you have any degrees or certifications related to HIM if that would interest you? You can do a lot more in health records related stuff if you have some kind of related college degree or certificate. I don't know how the system is set up in Canada, but I'm betting they have some way to advance through the system. Or maybe you want something completely different? Don't know, just offering ideas. Maybe try your local 2-year college if you're itching for something else more interesting to do.

School tends to feel like a deadend too. I'm 19, I've changed my major 3 times, I'm still not really sure what I want to major in, and I'm in massive amounts of debt with no job. It sucks. Anyway, I've been reading your blog for the last week or so, and we have tons in common. You're like the canadian me!
